A Pop of Color

We just finished up a beautiful office redesign for our neighborhood elementary school.  The secretaries needed a change from the dark walls and accents.  Enter this beautiful, white console and bright art piece.  Both were the inspiration pieces for the rest of the space.  We loved how the accessories came together for the console.  It is such a great presence in the room.

This little table sits right outside the office and needed some attention.  We added darling ruler ribbon to the greenery to add just a hint of "school" to the grouping.

The upper cabinet grouping turned out beautifully.  We didn't want to overdo it with too many school-type accessories, so we just added hints here and there.

This gallery wall was our favorite touch.  Each print has an inspirational/positive quote.  It is the perfect message to share with all those impressionable school children.  Plus, it gives the secretaries inspiration all day as they work with our children.  Hope you love it as much as we do!

Boundless in Bloom

Spent the day creating this little grouping in Khloe's room.  When I saw this art piece, I knew it was the perfect way to transition Khloe's room.  I love the message of hope and wonderment. Plus, the colors complement her bedroom perfectly.  I re-purposed the "K" from another spot in her room, added the darling sayings from Hobby Lobby's art section, included the  scalloped trays, and ornate mirror to finish off the collage.  Would you believe the scalloped trays are candle holders from Ikea?  I've wanted to find a use for them for a while now.  I'm so glad it's in my baby girl's room.  The mirror was originally black, so I just spray painted it white.  It felt so good to design, shop, and create today!  It was all worth it when Khloe walked in and said, "Oh Mom, I love it!  It is just darling."  I am raising her right.  (She appreciates all things design without any prodding from her mom,)  What a great day and little makeover!

Main floor renovation

Our client Shauna left for a month and gave us the go ahead to transform her main living space.  We took it from this...

To this...

Shauna's remodel included new paint in all main living spaces, trim detail and wainscoting, painting of cabinets and addition of back-splash, sanding and re-staining wood floors, new carpet in living room, draperies and pillows and accessories.  We are so happy with how bright and inviting her space is now.  Thanks for letting us rejuvenate your home Shauna!

Adding Drama

There are so many beautiful accessories right now in the gold and brass tones.  I love how they all came together in my front room.

I've had these picture frames for years.  I love that they have the brass inlay, so they still work perfectly in the space.  This sunburst mirror is one of my favorites and is the perfect glint of sparkle on this stair wall.

The room has high vaulted ceilings, so I needed a mirror that would take your eye up.  I found this gem at IKEA.  I really wanted bookshelves, but didn't have the space.  So instead, I used two sets of floating shelves to achieve the same feel.  Now this wall is a statement and adds such sparkle to the space.

I love the accessories on the shelves.  I had collected most of them as I shopped for other clients.  The only thing I had to purchase to finish the room was the boxwood wreath.

I have a massive front room window, so I needed 7 yards of fabric and lining for the drapes.  When I found this great geometric for $7/yd, I knew I had a winner.  I absolutely love the soft yellow color in the room.

Here's a close-up of the fabric.

When I saw this beautiful gold calligraphy of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing," I knew it was the perfect finishing touch for the room.  It is my absolute favorite hymn and the perfect words to see as I enter and leave my home.
